Option

Saturday. To sleep reasonably soon after ten to awaken then at five-thirty. Too early, but not unusual and probably enough sleep. Up to take the blood pressure ( looked good), up finally at the usual time to walk to breakfast under dark overcast skies, wearing the heavy winter jacket this time and so warm and comfortable enough. No complaints. Arrived at the usual time, entered the indoor dining area and turned on the lights before settling in at my usual table with the papers.

The beef patty, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee, finishing up after nine to walk home under still dark overcast skies and taking the usual series of pictures of the same flowers and street scenes along the way which still seems to keep me amused.

Arrived home, took the selfie, took the blood pressure again to find it holding up, maybe a little lower than earlier, before settling in at the computer, finishing and posting yesterday's entry, processing the morning pictures and starting here.

Later. A walk over to the lake to take a couple of pictures, then farther on by and beyond the farmers market across from the morning restaurant to turn around and walk right back home. A decent outing, enough of one to make me a little tired. Well, dragging a little. We'll be driving to breakfast tomorrow, maybe see if I can't make it two afternoon outings in a row.

Ho, ho.

Evening. Set the clocks back an hour before checking out the eight o'clock movie on KQED, deciding bed was the better option.

The photo up top was taken at the 2015 Peoples Republic of China 66th anniversary celebration at Oakland City Hall with a Nikon D4 mounted with a 24-120mm f 4.0 VR Nikkor lens.
