Hour

Saturday. Awakened at five-thirty, sort of, and then awoke for good at a quarter after six to get up, discover the Dodgers had won last night's game after midnight in the eighteenth inning with a home run. Glad I bailed at ten. Another walk under clear dark skies with watering eyes to arrive at the restaurant at five minutes to seven to find it open.

The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast to finish by eight-thirty, the sun now bright, another Saturday ahead.

Another ATM run today and so we'll get out the door for at least a minor walk, but otherwise nothing on the schedule. Eighty percent of Euclid is now paved, the only question is whether or not it will be finished today as there were no workers to be seen. I'm hoping it is as that last twenty percent is situated at my one way street's exit to Euclid. Be nice to have it done when I'm driving to breakfast tomorrow morning. Then again, if not, life will not end.

Later. A bus to the ATM on Broadway and a walk to the construction sites on Webster and Valdez, taking the usual three pictures. Noticed quite a bit of security around the structures making me wonder if the recent framed townhouse fire may have put the developers even further on edge.

So far, so good: clear headed and so I decided to walk home rather than wait the five minutes for a bus. I'd briefly felt a little tired and light headed after climbing up my hill after breakfast this morning, but this time I, walking something like twice the distance at a faster pace, wasn't really tired in the least. No predicting these things, I guess.

Evening. For some reason did little other than watch the game, finishing it in the bedroom finally, listening on the radio, the series outcome now pretty much locked in for the Red Sox with their now three games to one. So much for baseball. At least it was finished in nine innings and I was able to turn the lights out at a decent hour.
