Game

Sunday. Not a great night's sleep, awakening around one in the morning and taking another hour or so to get back under, awakening then for good at six-thirty. OK, get ready to drive to breakfast feeling unusually light headed for the first thing in the morning and arriving at the restaurant at seven. It was open, but just.

Hungry and so ordered the eggs Benedict, country potatoes, fruit cup and coffee, the weight still at less than a pound over target, enough stuff to wade through in the papers to keep me reading until after nine. Still light headed and tired when heading to the car and driving home to then do as little as I could get away with to finish yesterday's entry before posting. To bed then for half an hour before getting up and coming back to mess with this. Not the best start to a Sunday morning, hope to feel better come the afternoon and get in the walking.

Bitch, moan, bitch, moan.

These circumstances lately are less than settling - up and down, up and down - with more downs than you might want to see to be comfortable.

Later. Still essentially fucked up, but a walk to the lake to at least snap a couple of pictures and sit for ten minutes or so under a bright sun. Tried to talk myself into going by the burger drive-in, I was hungry, but not for their grilled chicken sandwich or a burger. Same for everything else that came to mind. Ah, well.

Home to finish the mail-in ballot. It has a long list of measures and races and I've been putting off sitting down and finishing the damned thing, making some progress as I find the information I need to make individual decisions. But again, the mind is fuzzy in ways it wasn't in earlier elections and going through one of these things back then wasn't really a problem. It goes in the mail tomorrow.

Evening. Turned on the game, checked to see what old Elementary episode they were running on another channel, clicked back to the game to discover the Red Sox had scored two runs in my short absence. Hmm. Checked Elementary a second time to again turn back to discover the Dodgers had had a home run in my absence. This convinced they were trying to tell me something. So much for Elementary, we stayed with the game.
