Course
Thursday. Seems I'd gotten to sleep at a reasonable time and awakening at five-thirty, a less reasonable time, to get up at six and take the blood pressure (which was just fine) and listen to Democracy Now! until it was time to drive to breakfast in the rain. Rain: a good excuse to drive. Arrived to park by the 7-11 store and walk under a light rain to the restaurant, enter, turn on the indoor dining room lights and settle in with the papers.
The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee just because I couldn't think of anything else. Maybe substitute avocado for the bacon? Finished up by nine to walk to the car and drive straight home to take the (better focused) selfie in the lobby and head for the bathroom before taking the blood pressure (again just fine) and settling in at the computer to start here.
It's now ten-thirty, still fairly dark and overcast, although the rain has stopped, and they're saying a high of seventy degrees later in the afternoon. I'll believe it when I see it.
Later. Watched The Rocky Horror Picture Show on the tablet. Haven't watched it in some time, first seeing it when it opened in an almost empty theater on Union Street in San Francisco in 1975 and certainly enjoyed it then. It's aged a little bit, but still fun. Took a bath while listening to the news and then went back to the tablet. At least I got in a bath.
Evening. Stayed up to watch the first hour of Vera at eight, but didn't stay around for the last half hour to see who'd been doing the evil deeds, although I admit I'd wanted to. Tired these last several days in the evenings to the point I've been able to get to sleep reasonably soon after turning out the lights. The blood pressure was up, as it always is in the evenings, even though I'd taken the blood pressure med early this afternoon. Pretty much par for the course.
