Sleep

Tuesday. Some difficulty in getting to sleep, but managed to drop off before eleven to awaken at six in time to listen to Democracy Now! and take the blood pressure before driving to breakfast, the sky overcast, but the blood pressure just fine. Arrived to settle in at my usual table inside and start on the papers.

The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee, for no particular reason, finishing after nine to walk home, taking the usual series of pictures plus one across Grand of what looked to be a sidewalk memorial for the automobile accident that had occurred near this spot on Sunday morning in which three cars had collided, a woman killed and five others hospitalized.

Home to take the selfie in the lobby, take the blood pressure (to find it normal) and prepare to set out for an eleven o'clock dentist's appointment to have the crown cemented in place. Left early, but found the traffic light enough to make good time and so ended up waiting in their lobby for twenty-five minutes before getting into the chair. Went quickly and so back home, the traffic still moving well and so arrived before noon with the rest of the day ahead.

Later. Not tired/wobbly at all this morning and afternoon, no sign of the stuff I've been complaining about for these last several weeks/days/hours. Who knows why? The blood pressure a little high after I'd gotten home from the dentist and so took the blood pressure med. I could have put it off until I checked it again later, see if it was a one off spike, but what the hell, I'll probably continue taking these blood pressure measurements now forever and so plenty of time not to do it again.

Evening. Watched maybe thirty minutes of FBI on television at eight. That was enough, turned it off and went to bed. Again, clear headed, not tired for the entire day, now, wondering if I might not have trouble getting to sleep.

The photo up top was taken at the 2015 Oakland Pride Festival with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f/2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
