Tomorrow
Saturday. To sleep not long after ten, which was nice. Seems to be happening pretty regularly lately. Awoke just before six to get up and take the blood pressure (111/65, 120/64, 119/63), listen to the news until after seven and then set out walking to breakfast under fog covered skies to arrive and settle in at my table inside the dining room and start on the papers.
The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for no particular reason, finishing up just after nine again to set out for home under still overcast fog covered skies, taking the usual set of pictures. Not many people on the street walking home, close to none walking to breakfast earlier, even though they were setting up the farmers market across from the Grand Lake theater as they always do on Saturdays.
Home to take the selfie in the lobby and settle in at the computer after taking the blood pressure again (121/71, 107/72, 110/64) and starting on getting all this in order while listening to a special WOT Film Festival Democracy Now! broadcast of a discussion by Amy Goodman, Edward Snowden, Glenn Greenwald and Chris Hedges.
Later. Continued checking out more of the WOT Film Festival broadcasts. Hadn't heard of them before. Went through my long lists of films and series I've started on Prime and Netflix trying to find one that I wanted to continue watching with no luck and so listened to an old album on YouTube and various other arias and such I've liked in the past. Another dose of the blood pressure med at three and there you have the afternoon.
Evening. Watched the first ten minutes or so of Invasion of the Body Snatchers, the later version set in San Francisco. Didn't like it back when I first saw it when it was released, didn't find it any better this evening and so to bed to listen to the radio, turning the lights out and the radio off not long after nine.
Halloween tomorrow. I did get outside briefly this afternoon, walking halfway down the hill to see what the lake looked like. Didn't take a picture, but turned tail and walked right back home. Maybe try for a different outcome tomorrow.
