Weekends

Saturday. Wondered if I was going to oversleep again as it took some time to get to sleep, but awoke at six-twenty right on the dot. So good, I guess. Overcast, a little cool, a slow, but decent walk to breakfast, arriving at seven to find the restaurant had just opened.

Had the avocado and (light on the) cheese omelet, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast as that was what came out of my mouth when asked. One pound over target on the scale this morning, so no limits there. Finished reading by eight-forty, the sky still overcast on the way home. Stuck my head in the open door of the dry cleaning shop to ask about their boarded up window and the young woman said she wasn't sure, it had been in place when she arrived. Vandalism? Had it been there yesterday? I wasn't sure. Home just before nine.

For some reason I didn't spend enough time editing yesterday's entry before posting and so ended up making corrections, reposting, making more correction, reposting and repeating this an embarrassing number of times. At least the head is clear, the sun is now shining and the first of the last two episode of Mr. Sunshine has been posted to Netflix today.

Later. Turns out they've skipped a week in releasing the last two episodes of Mr. Sunshine over this weekend and so it won't be available until next Saturday so I hunkered down with more episodes of the rise of phoenixes which continues to be weird in the various characters’ actions. Interesting mix and so I've wasted another late morning and an hour into the afternoon watching it.

It seems Tiger Woods has exploded into a five stroke lead at the FedEx Tournament, which means I may well use it as an excuse to stay inside and watch. Sunny and inviting out there, wouldn't be hard to pack a camera and head out along the lake, talk myself into getting some ice cream on Lakeshore maybe. Not much of a walk, but closer to one than no walk at all.

Later still. Over to the lake with the camera in the backpack, taking it out as soon as I reached the shore. Doesn't feel uncomfortable having it in hand with plenty of people about. And there were plenty of people about. Can't say I got much of a walk, but some time in the sun, more birds on the lake than in these last few months, a Lime scooter spotted sitting on the bottom. Have I photographed it before?

Tiger was ahead by three instead of five strokes when today's round was over and so I'll probably watch the finish tomorrow. The Folsom Street Fair is scheduled for tomorrow, but I'm thinking it's pretty obvious if I feel like I've been feeling these last days, months whenevers, I'm not going to be up for heading into that particular crowd in San Francisco. But who knows?

Evening. Nothing on television and so to bed at eight to listen to what I could find on the radio, having had enough tablet watching for a day (or a life). Lights out at ten. I wonder if the car battery will be dead when I try to start the car tomorrow morning? I've been taking chances with not charging it over these last two weekends.
