Afternoon

Thursday. To sleep soon enough to awaken once to take a leak, but then awakening for good just after six in time to listen to most of Democracy Now! before getting up and walking to breakfast under heavily overcast skies, arriving to settle in at my indoor dining area table and start on the papers. Only one other diner arrived to sit inside while I was there, the others opting for the patio.

The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee again, finishing up as usual around nine to set out for home, the sky still dark, the temperature quite cool, but not cold in a long sleeved shirt and light jacket and so on to take the usual series of pictures less one or two to arrive home, take the selfie in the lobby and settle in at the computer to finish yesterday's entry, post, process the morning pictures and start here. The thought is to do the laundry later and use that as an excuse not to continue any of the forever ongoing clean up the apartment projects. Silly, but it does get the laundry done.

Later. Tired. And so naps or maybe “attempts” at naps, the mind fogging, but not quite going under. Still, time passed quickly. Put off doing the laundry until late, but finally managed to get my act together and so it's due to finish at close to seven, but that's been our afternoon. Go figure, after what I thought was a good night's rest.

Later. Laundry done, folded and hung except for the socks. We'll do the socks tomorrow. Nothing on television other than the episode of Vera I'd watched on Britbox last night and so took a bath and went to bed around nine, looking to get a decent night's sleep to make it two in a row and see if I couldn't remain more than half awake for my dentist's appointment tomorrow in the afternoon.

The photo up top was taken at the 2015 San Francisco Anime & Cosplay Festival with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
