End

Saturday. To sleep not all that long after ten, if I remember correctly, to awaken then at four to take a leak, then again around five-thirty to listen to the news, so not the greatest night's rest. You'd think. We'll find out soon enough. Managed to trick myself into walking to breakfast at the usual time under overcast and cool skies, arriving at the usual time to settle in at my indoor table and start on the papers. So far, so good was the thinking (if I was in fact thinking).

The single pork chop, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee, the weight still a couple of pounds under the one fifty-five target on the scale this morning, finishing up around nine to set out for home, the morning still dark under grey clouds and, one hopes, not much smoke, taking the usual pictures plus one or two not normally taken.

Home to take another selfie in the lobby, hurry to the bathroom and then take my blood pressure to see if it had fallen in line after having taken two doses of the blood pressure med before setting out this morning. It was looking good, after a string of days of reading too high, but it still seems a forever fight to get it back into reasonable stability.

Later. Tired. Lied down to zone out for a while and then watched some of the FedEx Cup Tournament on the tablet, stopped after a few holes to doze off again and then awakened to watch the finish. I'll probably watch some of the final round tomorrow. Interesting to listen to the CBS News at six, though, the sports reporter saying that Jon Rahm was ahead of Patrick Cantlay by two strokes when it was Cantlay leading Rahm by two.

Another dose of the blood pressure med to keep the pressure in check. Two doses this morning, another this evening to keep it in line. I suspect I'll email the cardiologist with the readings next week.

Evening. I'd seen the Saturday night movie on PBS at eight and so watched a couple of things on the tablet before turning the lights out by ten. Still tired, not sure why, but it seems to lead to getting to sleep sooner than later so there's some good that comes from it at least in the end.

The photo up top was taken at the 2015 San Francisco Anime & Cosplay Festival with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
