Night

Wednesday. Lights out by nine last night, but then it seemed I didn't get to sleep for hours and hours, groggily wondering in what condition my head would be in when I got up in the morning. Awoke at just before six to take the blood pressure (121/72, 128/68, 122/73) as I'd taken the blood pressure med last night around nine and found the pressure too high. Listened to Democracy Now! before getting up on an overcast and cool morning to drive to breakfast, parking by the 7-11 store across from the restaurant. Didn't seem all that tired, but maybe the cool air was having an effect. Settled down at my table in the indoor dining area and started on the papers.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee, the weight still a pound over the one fifty-five pound target on the scale this morning, finishing up by nine to set out for the car and drive straight home to take the selfie in the lobby before settling down at the computer to fiddle with yesterday's anemic entry before posting, process the morning's few pictures and start here. Still overcast, the temperature outside is in the very low sixties, but they're saying a high close to seventy later.

Later. A lie down on the bed for about an hour seems to have done some good. Up to watch the news programs that started at two and then back to the tablet and the Pittsburgh Pirates - Cincinnati Reds game through the rest of the afternoon. Oh, and another dose of the blood pressure med just after five after taking another set of problematic readings.

Evening. Checked out Midsomer Murders at eight and watched it for maybe half an hour before deciding I was tired and wanted to get to bed early and so lights out by just after nine to see if sleep wouldn't come quickly after all the trouble I had last night.

The photo up top was taken in 2015 at the Oakland Michael Brown remembrance demonstration at 14th and Broadway with a Nikon D4 mounted with a 24-70mm f 2.8 G Nikkor lens.
