Late

Thursday. Lights out just after nine to awaken briefly at four and then for good at five-fifty in time to listen to the five minute KPFA news before Democracy Now! started at six, taking the blood pressure (121/72, 111/67, 108/73) before heading out walking to breakfast under a cool and overcast sky. The weather people are saying it will get up into the mid-sixties later. OK, a decent walk, arriving to enter the indoor dining area and settle in at my table with the papers.

The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee, finishing up not long after nine to set out for home under still dark skies, the attitude and the energy pretty good, although I was wondering if I'd end up needing to run to the bathroom when I got to the apartment. Didn't. Everything was quite civilized when I arrived.

Took the selfie in the lobby and settled in at the computer to finish and post yesterday's entry before starting on the morning's pictures, the low light in some ways an advantage given the balanced light.

Later. Cooler throughout the day hitting a high of sixty-five and so spent the afternoon watching the Yankees-Orioles game on both the tablet while lying on the bed and watching it with the sound turned off on the computer as the news played on the television set in the living room. The Orioles won in the last inning. An interesting game.

Evening. Watched the beginning of Midsomer Murders at eight for about thirty minutes, but was tired and so went to bed, finishing a movie that lasted until after nine and so didn't turn the lights out until nine-thirty, later than I'd have liked. Well, later than I should if I want to get to sleep early rather than late.

The photo up top was taken at the 2015 Oakland Art & Soul Festival with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
